Brunswick Family Assistance Agency, Inc., has received grants from Cape Fear Memorial Foundation and The Catherine Kennedy Home Foundation, Inc., both in Wilmington.
The Cape Fear Memorial Foundation approved a grant of $50,000 for general operating support. Executive Director Fred Stephens said that this grant would allow BFA to “open the doors and turn on the lights.” The foundation’s mission is to support not-for-profit organizations providing services that improve the health and wellness of the people of southeastern North Carolina. The Cape Fear Memorial Foundation has been a longtime supporter of BFA.
The Catherine Kennedy Home Foundation, Inc., approved a grant of $7,000 to support the elderly by providing the requisite resources needed to sustain themselves (food, utilities, and shelter).
In accepting these wonderful grants, Stephens stated that “Brunswick Family Assistance pledges to continue to be good stewards of the funds entrusted to our care and shall continue to guide this nonprofit agency to accomplish our mission and vision in a responsible business manner.”
