State Port Pilot: ‘Bucks for Bikes’ On A $17,000 Roll

Rick Mazur is the proverbial golden goose behind several local fundraisers. Mazur works with the Brunswick County Association of Realtors to raise money for its Bucks for Bikes program. The funds go to purchase bicycles for those receiving services from Brunswick Family Assistance Agency in Shallotte.

Star News: UNCW Graduate Stephanie Bowen Leads BFA

UNCW graduate Stephanie Bowen opens the door to the Brunswick Family Assistance Agency every morning before 9 a.m. After that, Bowen takes off in whatever direction the nonprofit organization needs her to go that day. The 26-year-old Leland native was named BFA executive director in September 2016.
