WECT: Non-profit eyes expansion as number of families in need grows

Brunswick Family Assistance, a non-profit dedicated to helping at-risk families, wants its doors open five days a week at its Leland location. The non-profit dedicated to helping families in need pay utility bills, buy groceries and holiday gifts wants to add more hours of operation and set up a new location in Leland to keep up with the demand. “We are already providing such a high volume of services for people in this area and we know once we open an office five days a week, that’s only going to increase.”

StarNews: Nonprofit looks to expand services in Leland

BFA wants to expand and open a full-time office in Leland that would serve northern Brunswick County. The desire to expand and open an office in Leland stems from an increase in demand for services by Leland and other northern Brunswick County residents at BFA’s Shallotte office. BFA’s goal is to be operational in the full-time Leland office by early to mid-2018.
